Po-Chien Huang, also known as Dan, is the artist and founder of Yellow Formosa Studio. Based between Taiwan and London, he is currently pursuing an MA in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art, following a BFA in Architectural Design from Parsons School of Design.

Yellow Formosa Studio is a multidisciplinary creative practice with a focus on ceramics and sculpture.

The research is dedicated to investigating the ancient, the enigmatic, and the ephemeral. Driven by a yearning for prehistoric nostalgia, ancestral alignment, and cosmic consciousness, Dan re-examines the essence in objects and their interaction with humans, space, and nature—resonating with the belief in art’s power to inspire collective spiritual experience.

Dan’s work is both a practice and reflection on the deeper mysteries of the cosmos and our place within it. By translating profound human emotions and desires, and bridging the ancient with the contemporary, his creations invite viewers to feel beyond the surface and question what lies beneath.
